Mitsubishi launches Pajero Sport

Hindustan Motors has launched the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV, priced at Rs 23.53 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The Pajero Sport comes with a 2.5-litre 16-valve intercooled turbocharged diesel heart producing 175bhp and 40.4kgm of torque. It comes with Mitsubishi’s rally-proven shift-on-the-fly Super Select 4WD and a high 215mm ground clearance which should give it terrific off-road capability. The Pajero Sport gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Additional features include driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, leather-wrapped gear knob, a USB-equipped music player and a multi-information display. An added bonus is an extra row seats which makes the Pajero a seven-seater.

The Pajero Sport will be available to customers as a CBU currently while CKD-assembly will commence later this year.  CKD-assembled versions will be sold at a reduced price.  Mitsubishi also revealed that the current Pajero will be phased out soon.
