It is likely that the automatic gearbox will be offered on the top-spec ‘V’ variant, which features alloy wheels, dual airbags, fog lamps and dual-tone beige interiors with silver inserts. However, a lower-spec ‘S’ A/T variant would help the Japanese carmaker to offer its automatic small hatchback at a more competitive price point.
The latest development is the start of Honda’s new-model offensive, which will see it refreshing its range over the course of the next year. As for the Brio A/T, it will compete with the likes of the Hyundai i10 A/T and Maruti A-Star A/T, and we expect Honda to price it around Rs 60,000-80,000 higher than the equivalent manual variant.
